Services are designed to empower women and other non-traditional populations to enter college, retain their courses and complete their program of study. The innovative student support and learning strategies described in these sources are rarely found in traditional university programs, but could provide useful models for adaptation.

The results of the study showed that even though the male students had slightly better performance compared to the female students, it was not significant.
